Excellent ideation, frame work and resource for integrating the arts in the elementary curriculum. Creating Meaning through Literature and the Arts: Arts Integration in the Elementary Curriculum is a watershed of knowledge, strategies and resources for any educator, wishing to know and understand what arts integration is all about. I like the fact that the book is designed to assist the reader in developing his/her own teaching practice of arts integration into the curriculum at a very high level. This book offered many great ideas for integrating art into the classroom This book offered many great ideas for integrating art into the classroom. The lessons and ideas in this book can be easily transferred to areas outside of the classroom. The ideas focus on the aspects of art and how integrating different forms of it can help engage children. The book is easily readable and easy to understand.
