Information Technology Project Management: Providing Measurable Organizational Value
The 5th Edition of Jack Marchewka’s Information Technology Project Management focuses on how to create measurable organizational value (MOV) through IT projects. The author uses the concept of MOV, combined with his own research, to create a solid foundation for making decisions throughout the project’s lifecycle. The book’s integration of project management and IT concepts
Decent book Overall this is a great book on managing IT projects. I didnt give it 5 stars because the author skimps on some topics or doesnt cover them with enough depth for my taste. Such topics include statistical methods on risk management (monte carlo simulations), earned value, burn-out charts among several others. Nevertheless, it is a solid book that I recommend as an introductory reading on the topic of how to manage IT projects.
Very good intro to IT project management I had to use this book for my university’s project management course. I am very happy with this textbook because it explains IT project management concepts in an understandable and concise manner for a student that has never studied or practiced PM before.
The E-textbook worked fine though. Awful textbook, only get it if it is required for your class. The E-textbook worked fine though.
