Not the heart healthy recipes I was looking for I was looking for a heart healthy cookbook – Mediterranean or Dash. Thought I’d try this one as it had good ratings and I could check it out on Kindle for 99 cents and buy a hard copy if I liked it. It starts out by telling you there won’t be much meat, eggs, etc. in this way of eating. Contradicts itself by pg 2 The recipes in this book sound delicious, and I’m sure they are…but they aren’t Mediterranean. The Mediterranean diet has very little wheat flour, added sugar, and red meat. These recipes have tons of all the ingredients that should be avoided. I worry that people following this book will be delighted that they don’t have to sacrifice foods they love, but they won’t even come close to their health and weight loss goals eating this way.
