Cute book, title a bit misleading I purchased this book bc I find different watercolor painting styles unique & interesting. This particular book has a very loose style of painting. The book contains 150 pages; first 50 pages go over materials & techniques. Then Marie explains (& shows with pictures) how to paint [various stages/view points of] 6 flowers; rose, peony, carnation, dahlia, anemone, & poppy. She also shows you how to paint a few leaves & some “detail & texture” filler flowers (delphinium, hortensia, & astible)…

A must have for beginner floral painters Absolutely LOVE this book. It’s is utter eye candy. Although every art book has a section about paints and colours in the front, I found this very useful as I have been interested in the Sennelier Watercolour brand and now get to use it with full instructions. Please note that this is not a book for realistic floral paintings but it is a loose style and clearly states its a ‘Beginners’ guide.
