Great for the novice and, or expert. I appreciate the way Martin McGuirk addresses the steps and considerations for model railroad building. To think and start out small and complete one project to its end. To have a plan of action and a period or type of model train scene you desire as a whole. Everything you purchase is recommended to be within the same period. As a mid model train builder this book is a informative and covers some topics I did not take into consideration.
