Very disappointing This book was very disappointing… I have an earlier edition of Tasha Tudors’s “The Night Before Christmas”, which I love so much, and was trying to buy a similar one for a family member. This does look like the pictures were by Tasha Tudor (there are corgis and owls…) but not when she was doing her work that we are familiar with. Lovingly Illustrated for Babies to Adults! Was looking for a version of TNBC as gifts to my cousins’ kids, and I’m very particular about the artistry of illustrations. When I saw there was a Holly Hobbie version, I knew that was it! Was fond of her work back in the 70s, and this 2013 work shows her growth as an artist. Beautiful until you see the cracks For the cost, this paperback has beautifully drawn illustrations. The overlayed text is unimposing and does not disrupt the delicate scenes EXCEPT for the two pages where the publisher and printer failed to remove the text box. It disrupts the illustrated scene like telling a 4-year old, THERE IS NO SANTA CLAUS.Why did this happen, why would this have passed a proofreaders desk and gone to print.
