It has been said that churches are perfectly designed to get the results they are getting. The old church culture has been yielding decline in worship attendance, connections to community, and fit followers for Christ. Jesus said that no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. So why do church leaders continue to pour healthy ideas into the old church mind-set, behaviors and practices? Church leaders need the education, spiritual authority, and skills to lead in a way that brings people into their churches and into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Faith Fitness, Ignite the Power of the Fit Church Culture, is a new wineskin that helps leaders create an organizational culture that empowers their church to achieve its unique purpose and to be relevant again in the kingdom. The book takes leaders on a journey of the mind, heart, and hands to educate, transform, and learn skills necessary to lead confidently and competently during this post Christian era. Leaders must know the differences between church health, wellness, and fitness. Understanding the healthy New Testament church archetype allows leaders to incorporate important spiritual principles into the foundation of a fit church culture. Leaders will also benefit from the experience and recommendations of thirty theologians who wrote forty books on church health. Each chapter in the book includes a specific prescription to help leaders overcome corporate and personal obstacles. Altogether, the prescriptions transform leaders with the heart of Christ and the spiritual authority to lead their churches. An appendix in the book provides a series of detailed questions designed for group study that serve as spiritual exercises called Ruach or breath to draw the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Ruach sessions allow leaders to access tools from the Wellness Tool Box to develop the specific skills necessary to bring about change in their churches. Faith Fitness will:•Transform the hearts of your leaders •Build a fit body from important Biblical and church drivers •Immunize your church against corporate disease(s)•Teach leaders how to use the Mind of Christ for your church •Create commitment and enthusiasm among your members•Provide a Wellness Tool Box that leaders can access for strategic planning•Inspire your ekklesia to engage and connect with younger generations •Show leaders how to ascend the Fitness SpectrumBy the end of Faith Fitness, you’ll understand why your church has been ineffective in its witness and how to ignite the power of a fit church culture.
