Good but not Great Rosmarie Jarski makes wonderful books…..i bought this ‘British Wit’ one based on the strength of ‘The Funniest Thing You Never Said’ and I have to say that ‘British Wit’ is nothing like as brilliant. It is an assembly of British Wit, for sure….and there are some cracking good quotes in there, but it lacks contrast…….in her previous book ‘the funniest thing you never said’, there is a whole spectrum of brilliant quotes from all over the world and it spices it up…
Deceiving title I was originally buying this book as a birthday present for a friend. This book wasn’t at all what I thought it would be. I was expecting witty quotes on a wide range of topics from important/famous British people. But it ended up being quotes about being British. Which for an American were not funny or relatable at all. I returned it.
perfect condition. Very efficient delivery. Everything as described, perfect condition.
